Western Electric – Model 301 Fiddleback Wooden Hand Crank Wall Phone

This phone is in very good original condition with a nice finish and no major damage. The finish of the case is nice and consistent, with no more than minor surface wear and scratching. There is a small section of damage in the bottom left corner of the back plate, where the wood has cracked around the screw hole. The metal parts of the phone are tarnished from age, but they are still clean and free of corrosion. The transmitter is a stamped Northern Electric 323 and has an intact transmitter cup. Some of the nickel plating has come off of the transmitter, but it is otherwise undamaged. The receiver is stamped on the top with patent dates but has no other stampings. The phone has a red 5 bar magneto that cranks and rings the bells as intended. The phone appears to be intact internally. This is an antique item, and has not been refurbished, so some age wear is to be expected.
