TA-312/PT Field Phone – Post WWII Era Field Telephone with Case and Strap

This TA-312/PT Field phone was introduced in the 1950s and saw use in the field until the late 1980s. This particular example is in very good original condition, with only some wear from use in the field. The case has some wear from age and use, but no significant damage. The case is marked along the back with some numbering, however it is unclear what the numbering indicates. The front of the case is marked “Case Telephone Set CY-1227B/PT”. The zipper functions properly, and the original strap and clips are in good working order. The telephone unit itself is in very good shape with very little wear. The most noticeable wear is on the handset, which has some scratches along one side. The phone was stored properly, without the batteries in place, as the battery compartment is free from any corrosion. The crank, handset push to talk switch, and various switches and knobs on the phone itself all function as intended. The phone appears to be intact internally. This is a vintage item, and has not been refurbished, so some age wear is to be expected.
