TA-312/PT Field Phone – Canadian Post WWII Era Field Phone With Case

This is a TA-312/PT Field Phone, introduced in the 1950s, and used through to the 1980s. This particular phone has markings indicating that it was used by the 35th Medical Company of Canada. The phone and case are both in very good original condition, with signs of use in the field, but no damage. The case does have a spot on the back side where duct tape was placed on the bag and later removed. There are markings on the back side and right hand side that read “35 Med Coy” and “35 Med” respectively. There is another smaller marking on the backside which was done first in marker and then in ink, but it is difficult to make out. The zipper functions as intended, and the bag does not have any significant wear or damage. The phone itself also has markings on the top and side of the unit, both of which read “35 Med Coy”. The phone is very clean, with only some minor wear of the finish in the corners, and where the lock slides over the battery door. The phone was stored properly, without the batteries in place, as the battery compartment is completely free of corrosion. The crank, handset push to talk switch, and various switches and knobs on the phone itself all function as intended. The phone appears to be intact internally. This is a vintage item, and has not been refurbished, so some age wear is to be expected.

The item is untested and being sold as is.
