TMC Sound Powered Navy Ship Phone – S 37073 HJM – 1959

This Ship Telephone is in very good condition, as it has been refinished. The outside of the case was repainted to a silver grey metallic, as opposed to the inside which is more of a blue grey color. There are some dents on the case just below the hand crank, but the case is otherwise undamaged. The handset is a Stromberg Carlson Type 333 Sound Powered handset, which has some surface wear and blemishes, but is otherwise very nice. The original ring and bracket which pulls the switch hook down when the handset is replaced is no longer in place, and has been replaced with a makeshift solution. The 12 position switch toggles between the different lines as intended. The hand crank spins smoothly with the intended resistance. The phone does appear to be intact internally. This is a vintage item, and has not been refurbished, so some age wear is to be expected.
