TMC Sound Powered Telephone – Mark 15 Canadian Navy Ship Phone – HMS Bonaventure

This ship telephone is a TMC Mark 15, built by TMC London for the Royal Canadian Navy. The phone is in very good original condition, with only normal wear from use, and the only blemishes being residue from tape near the crank. The top piece of tape is still mostly intact, and it appears that it was placed their while the phone was in service as identification or instructions. The handset is in very good shape with only minor surface wear from age, and no damage to the element covers. Under the cradle, the case is embossed and reads “Mark 15 Patent 32079 Telephone Mfg. Co. London 1954”. There is also a tag with this phone, which detached while in storage, with the full identification details. This tag will be included in the purchase. The hand crank spins smoothly and with the expected resistance, and the cradle switch toggles as intended. This is a vintage item, and has not been refurbished, so some age wear is to be expected.
