Stromberg Carlson – Model 1243 Rotary Dial Desk Telephone – Metal Case

This phone was a direct competitor to Western Electric’s Model 302, and is mechanically similar. The standout difference is the angle cut corners on the Model 1243, which gave it a more aesthetically pleasing appearance. This phone is in fair original condition, with some paint chipping and paint wear. The phone’s case is undamaged otherwise, and would look stunning with a fresh coat of paint. The dial does not spin and return to center as intended, an would require some work to salvage. This phone is an excellent candidate for refurbishing, as it is largely intact, though in need of significant TLC. This is an antique item, so some age wear is to be expected.
