Northern Electric – Model N317CG Antique Wooden Wall Telephone

This is a Model N317CG, the 2nd to last revision of the model, produced between 1917 and 1938. The telephone is in good condition, however, some refurbishments have been made. The case is in good shape, with no damage, and some fading of the stained finish. The back plate of the case, as well as the entirety of the inside of the phone, has been re-painted black. The metal parts of the phone are black as they would have been originally, and they all look very nice. The transmitter mount is a stamped Northern Electric mount, and the transmitter is unmarked. The receiver is in nice shape as well. The magneto is a 5-bar 48A that cranks but does not ring the bells and has been repainted in a metallic grey. The phone does appear to be intact internally. This is an antique item, so some age wear is to be expected.
