Automatic Electric Monarch – Model 7 Monophone – Antique Metal Desk Phone

This phone is in good original condition with a fully intact A.E. Handset and some wear on the finish of the phone. The handset cradle has a plate marked “Monarch Telephone Mfg.” so the phone is likely from the 1925 or 1926, as Monarch was sold to Automatic Electric. The phone appears to be intact internally, and the original wiring diagram is inside. There is a small chip in the spitcup transmitter cover. The cords have significant fraying, but it appears to be only the outer sleeve of the cords, and not the actual connection wires. This is an antique item, and has not been refurbished, so some age wear is to be expected.
