Leich Electric Model 901C – Convertible Wall/Desk Mount Magneto Telephone

This telephone is a unique Leich Electric Magneto phone, which can be mounted in both wall and desk configurations. The phone is in very good original condition with a nice finish, and no signs of damage. The Bakelite has faded from age, however, there are very few blemishes on the case and it could likely be polished to a like new finish. The handset is a Leich handset with a vented receiver cover. The handset has a similar finish to the case, and both element covers are intact. The magneto cranks and rings the bells as intended, and the convertible cradle switch toggles as intended as well. The unit has both cords. The handset cord is intact, however, the other cord is cut at the end. We were unable to fully open the phone, as the screw for the crank is stripped. he phone appears to be intact internally. This is a vintage item, and has not been refurbished, so some age wear is to be expected.
