L.M. Ericsson – N2800 Steel Fiddleback Wall Telephone – Hand Crank Magneto

This L.M. Ericsson is a rather unique and rare phone as L.M. Ericsson was one of the few companies to manufacture metal cased fiddleback wall phones. The N2800 line was also the only line L.M. Ericsson chose to produce with steel. This phone is in fair condition, as the case has no denting or other damage, however the internals of the phone, as well as the receiver and transmitter have been transferred from a Northern Electric model. During the modification it appears to have had the paint removed from the back plate. The paint on the rest of the case has deteriorated as well. The Northern Electric parts that have been installed appear to be intact, and the magneto cranks as intended. This phone would be a great candidate for refurbishment, and would surely be a conversation starter in any collection. This is an antique item, and has not been refurbished, so some age wear is to be expected.
