Connecticut Telephone Co. – Antique Compact Wooden Telephone – Multi-Line

This Connecticut Tel. Co. wall telephone has a unique, early multi-line dialing system. The telephone is in very good original condition with a nice finish and very few signs of wear from use or age. The case has a near perfect finish and no chipping anywhere, though the seam where the two halves of the baseplate meet have separated slightly, leaving a gap that is visible to light. The metal parts have some signs of wear, with some of the nickel plating wearing off, exposing the brass beneath. The unit has a stamped Connecticut Tel & Elec. Co. transmitter with an original Bakelite spit cup. There is also a plate on the top section of the baseplate, which read “John Forman Electrical Supplies Montreal”. This is likely the original distributor of the phone. The receiver is a stamped Northern Electric 144 which is has a large crack in the element cover. Despite the crack, the cover still holds snuggly in place. The hang up button and switch hook both toggle as intended, and the phone appears to be intact internally. This is an antique item, and has not been refurbished, so some age wear is to be expected.

This item is untested and is being sold as is.
