Canadian Independent Telephone Co. – Samson Style Wooden Wall – Mechanics Supply Co. Trans.

This telephone the is Canadian Independent Telephone Co. version of the American Electric Samson Telephone. This phone is in very good original condition, with a nice clean finish and no signs of damage. The transmitter is a stamped Mechanics Supply Co. Quebec transmitter with a Bakelite spit-cup. The spit-cup has a crack near the base, but it still holds in place firmly. The receiver is in nice shape with very little surface wear and no damage. The phone features the signature American Electric Co. switchhook arm, which is in very good condition aside from some minor tarnishing. The shelf bracket has very little wear from age, and has not shifted from The magneto cranks and rings the bells as intended and the phone appears to be intact internally. This is an antique item, and has not been refurbished, so some age wear is to be expected.
