Automatic Electric Type 21 Compact Wall Telephone – Refurbished

This phone is in good condition as it has been refurbished. At some point, it was also modified to accommodate an Automatic Electric Type 41 handset instead of separate receiver and transmitter units. The finish on the unit is smooth, however, it should be noted that the brass-colored parts are painted, and not actually polished brass. The handset is in good shape, with only some minor wear, however, the original cloth cord has been replaced with a vinyl-coated cord. The dial spins and re-centers as intended, the modified switch hook appears to function properly, and the phone appears to be intact internally, however it is unclear if anything was removed or added in the modifications. This is an antique item, so some age wear is to be expected.
